For nearly forty years, great design has been art at Plant Parenting. Ninety percent of great design is choosing the right plant for the right environment. Is the plant horticulturally correct? Do the colors work with the room? What textures are important? Are the plant choices historically significant? Questions like these and more are all considered when we create a design for you.

Beyond the installation, we recognize that our clients want their plants serviced in a professional manner by a uniformed technician who takes care never to leave a mess. We also recognize that our clients want a prompt replacement for any plants that fail. We pride ourselves in making replacements before a client sees a need. We understand that we are a plant insurance company. What sets us apart from our industry is our ability to anticipate our client's needs, communicate those needs if necessary and follow through.

We are proud to announce that we have won three 2018 International Design awards for our container work! Plant Parenting received the First Place Awards in two of the Freestanding Containers categories and Best Overall Container Project in I-Plant Magazine.

In 2013, we also received the SBIEC Excellence in Commerce Award. We have twice won the Best Commercial Award for our outdoor work by SOAR (Streeterville Organization of Active Residents). We have also been recognized in Chicago Magazine’s ‘Best Of’ issue as 'Best Garden Doctor' for our services.
